How it works

Nine digits, and you are in.

No accounts to set up and nothing to configure on your router. DeskDart finds the fastest way between the two devices on its own.

01

Open DeskDart on the computer you want to reach

It shows a 9-digit address. That's all the other person needs.

02

Type the address on your device

The last digit is a check digit, so a typo is caught before anything is sent.

03

They accept, or you use your password

Someone at the computer clicks Accept. For your own machines, set a password once and connect any time.

Try it
Enter the 9-digit address shown on the other device.
Features

Everything you reach for, done properly.

DeskDart is built from scratch for speed and safety, with the details that make a remote computer feel like the one in front of you.

Feels local

Smooth enough to forget it is remote

Up to 60 frames a second with hardware video, nothing sent when nothing changes, and your pointer drawn on your own screen so it moves the instant your mouse does.

Files

Send files both ways

Drop in a file of any size. If the connection drops halfway, it picks up where it stopped, and a check at the end proves every byte arrived.

Clipboard

Copy here, paste there

Text you copy on one computer is ready to paste on the other, while control is on.

Displays

Every screen, one click away

Switch between the other computer's displays without leaving your seat.

Connections

Finds the shortest path

Straight across your network first, then through the router, and only if both fail, through a relay that sees nothing but encrypted data.

Control

The person at the computer stays in charge

They see who is connecting, approve each session, and can switch control off or end the session at any moment. Each device has a short key code you can read out over the phone to be sure it is the right one.

Security

Built so not even we can watch.

Remote access is powerful, so DeskDart treats it that way from the first line of code. Every device has its own key, every session is encrypted and signed by both ends, and you decide who gets in.

  • Encrypted end to end, device to device
  • Each device proves who it is with its own key
  • Warns you if a device you know suddenly changes
  • Updates are signed, and checked before they install

Unattended access

Reach your own computers, even when nobody is home.

Set a password on your computer once. DeskDart proves you know it without ever sending it, so it cannot be stolen on the way or from our servers.

Add a 6-digit code from your authenticator app for a second lock
Wrong guesses make the next try wait, longer each time
It cannot be turned on while someone else is connected

If a stranger asks you to install DeskDart, hang up.

Remote desktop apps are a favorite tool of tech support scams. No bank, tech company or government office will call you out of the blue to fix your computer. DeskDart warns you the first time a new device asks to connect, and it will never let someone switch on unattended access while they are connected to you.
